Thursday Trent and I met up with his Aunt Jean and Uncle Bill. They travel often in their RV and just happened to be visiting the area. They treated us to our favorite BBQ restaurant (so far) called Rudy's. It's very close to our house and absolutely delicious complete with creamed corn, smoked brisket and pulled pork. I just finished lunch and yet my mouth still waters thinking about it. It was great to meet Uncle Bud and Aunt Jean. They are friendly vibrant characters and we hope to see them again soon!
This weekend we made last minute plans to road trip to San Antonio, the heart of Texas. It was such a fantastic trip (minus the heat, the humidity and the bug bites). Friday we drove and set up camp. That night we watched South Pacific on my laptop in the tent, a musical I have been craving this summer season. I almost forgot how beautiful the music and characters were. It was Trent's first time watching the movie and we laughed at the adult jokes I had never picked up before.
Saturday we got a quick bite of breakfast, bought an air mattress to save us from another sleepless night, and headed to Fiesta Texas Six Flags! It was so. much. fun.
Superman was an amazing and HUGE ride.
Altogether, an amazing weekend. One of the best ways to spend quality time together before Trent's business trip. He left at noon for Bradford, PA for training. Now I am alone for three days without any friends and no work until Thursday. This'll be fun...
PS: I heard, or I guess didn't hear, the 2nd vacation video. Apparently I had a song on it that had copyright protection. I exchanged the music online so there would at least be some back up sound. Sorry about that! It is a neat video though, so make sure you still take a look!
