From Sept '13 to Jan '14 Trent and I lived in Longmont, CO. It was always a dream of ours to live in a Denver suburb. Denver's so close to UT family, mountain sports, and college hippies. PLUS, they have Cafe Rio's!!! Funny enough, we didn't get the chance to hit the slopes (one of my biggest disappointments) due to our premature move to Kentucky, but we still made the best of our time with countless adventures. Above is a collage of some of our favorite memories and things from the colorful state. And below are our Colorado life lessons!

+ Some grocery stores are better than other grocery stores. This is one of my newly added check points when we buy a home (whenever we retire from our nomadic lifestyle...). I fell in love with Lucky's Market, a Colorado-based premier grocery store focused on providing cheap fresh produce and other health conscious products. It's basically a cheaper Whole Foods. Also, it just happened to be across from our house and opened the same week we moved in (can you say LUCKY Lucky's Market?). Also, one just happened to open up here in Louisville and it's just as good (Lucky Lucky LUCKY's Market)!!!!! Rambling....but obsessed. #sorrynotsorry
+ Some jobs make you want to get up in the morning. I had the incredible opportunity to work for F&W Media, a content and eCommerce company. It was by far my favorite corporate job I've ever had with the title of Marketing Specialist. I got to make pretty advertisements and emails all day long and had young, talented, energetic teammates and managers with whom to collaborate. I miss that job for the time it gave me to stretch my creativity daily and participate as a valuable teammate.
+ Sometimes (and really most times) we need to serve more than be served. Trent and I lived in CO during the 100 Year Flood (post from that crazy time found here). We sacrificed a lot of our weekday evenings and weekends helping the flood cleanup and other relief efforts. It was hard to do, because we were so new to the city and just wanted to spend our time being the tourist we are. But it gave us another way to see a city acting as part of a community rising together. It's made Trent and I much more aware of our blessings, though we still need to be reminded more often than not.
+ "Some infinities are bigger than other infinities." - Hazel from The Fault in Our Stars (Favorite book I read in 2013. It's a life changer for sure). We spent the shortest amount of time in this 6-month city; it really is more like 5-month city which disappoints us even now. But once we found out our time would be cut short, we worked hard to make the remaining time great spending it with close friends and hitting up our bucket list activities. I am so grateful for the short infinity I had in Longmont and the surrounding cities.
