The holidays were perfectly simple in 2013. Spent time with family, served the hungry, and played tons with the nieces and nephew. But one event that was especially exciting was that I got to host our family Thanksgiving at our house in Longmont, CO. Finally me had a space that could fit people!
I never seem to take enough pictures with my family, mostly because I'm busy SPENDING time with them. Also, I always feel like I have more time than I actually do (sad face!).
We spent the first day of Thankgiving picking potatoes for the homeless. I found this opportunity through a new LDS service website, JustServe.org. It was so appropriate the Colorado would be one of the test groups for the website because there were able to put it to good use during the 100 Year Flood.
One of our favorite tourist destinations in CO was the Celestial Seasoning factory. Double win for dad since he loves tea and is an engineer! But really, who doesn't like watching how something is made (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory anyone...)? Still have 4 boxes of tea from them. Slowly get around to drinking it anytime I run out of my Crio Bru.
No pictures from Thursday or Friday...just know we spent it eating and shopping.
Saturday we road tripped to Estes park. It was so beautiful and snowy. We drove and hiked and walked on water till everyone passed out in the car.
That night we celebrated my birthday at the fancy Italian restaurant in Ft. Collins. Probably my favorite night since it was all about me (jk I liked it because we seriously laughed more than I ever had in years).
T and I spent Christmas in Park City, UT with my other sissy Krissy and family! Here we are in our lumber plaid best on Christmas day. I don't exactly remember the timeline of our trip, just lots of happy moments like tubing, sledding, carrying children by their feet, pedicures, COOKING, relaxing in the front room, Home Alone 1 & 2 (never 3...), surprising Trent with Apple TV, and the breathlessness of Christmas morning with littles.
